Employment 4 ALL has partnered with Westminster City Council to offer a Moving On Project that will support and benefit female jobseekers who have been to prison, serving a community sentence, on bail or worried that you are at risk of committing an offence, to gain employment. We will believe in you and prepare you for employment. We partner with a large number of employers who, like us, want to give you a chance to prove yourself. We adopt an holistic approach to address individual needs. We will help with soft skills development which will help to begin to address the issues many woman face. We believe in improving lives, reducing the likelihood of further reoffending and together will try to combat the social exclusion many woman with a criminal record experience.
HOW THE MOVING ON PROJECT WILL HELP
Every woman is unique so our work is tailored to meet your individual needs.
We offer a wide variety of support, including:
- Casework and befriending: conducting needs assessment and support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each individual.
- Physical and mental wellbeing: helping women to access counselling and signposting to appropriate health services for support.
- Education and employment: helping women access education, training and employment courses, community volunteering opportunities, work experience and pathways to secure sustainable employment.
- Community integration: running regular activity classes, workshops and drop-in sessions and helping women participate in community activities
- Access to Interview Preparation and Advice: supporting women throughout the process of job searches, learning what have to disclose to employers about convictions, conducting interview training and assisting with interview clothing.
- Independent living: helping women to understand their rights and entitlements and encouraging empowerment to gain employment, independence and control over lives, health, wellbeing and mindfulness.
WHO CAN APPLY
The Moving On Project is available to women who have experience of the criminal justice system, prison and probation, or are bail and living within the community in Westminster (Ideally in West End Ward),
If you think this will be of benefit and would like some help please let us know. Applications will be sent to a caseworker who will get in touch with you to explain about our support. We will organise an informal face-to-face assessment so together we can devise a personal plan for the kind of support required to get the job you want.
