We have fully funded Traineeships starting on 22nd November 2021.
Induction, assessments, registration will take place on 16th and 17th November in Southwark and in Tower Hamlets.
Rail Traineeship (Funded Opportunity) for 19-23 - year olds
We have partnered with a NSAR (National Skills Academy for Rail) approved and accredited training provider with nationwide ESFA funding available for an NVQ Certificate in Rail Engineering Track Renewals.
The NVQ is scheduled over 12 weeks and the candidate would be required to attend online Google classroom sessions
As part of this course the learner must attend Functional skills, Employability skills and Digital Skills
At the end of week 10 the candidate will be placed with an industry employer for 2 weeks of work experience, with a sponsor within the rail industry.
To be eligible candidates must:

Be aged between 19- 23 years (on 31st August 2021)

Be able to provide some form of government ID and proof of right to work in the UK.

Have been a resident in the UK for 3 years.

Unemployed/ In receipt of a benefit

Be able to provide evidence of all the above.

Not have a previous Rail Qualification as our funding is for developing new work skills.
We work with several sponsor/employers within the rail industry and on the completion and achievement of the NVQ the candidate will be guaranteed an interviewed. On the acceptance of the candidate and subject to them passing their Medical and Drugs & Alcohol test, they will have the opportunity to sit the following courses, which will allow them to work on the rail infrastructure:

Once Part 1 is completed and subject to a drugs, alcohol and medical test individuals will be eligible to undertake the following NSAR approved safety critical training:
On completion of Part 1 and 2 you will be given a guaranteed interview for a job role starting pay £10-14/hour and work is usually a 12hr shift.
